FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Global Campus professional development network will offer a workshop from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, to explore global cultures and train managers, supervisors and staff on key cultural components of working in diverse, multicultural environments.

“Recent trends indicate a growing need for American businesses to develop cultural competencies for working with foreign nations and diverse populations within their own organizations,” said Rick Teague, promotions coordinator for the professional development network at the Global Campus

Participants can attend the workshop “Impact of Cultural Differences in the Workplace” online or in a classroom at the Global Campus facility in Rogers, Suite 402, in the Pinnacle One Building, 3300 Market St. Details about this workshop, online registration, and other programs are available on the website. The cost is $49.

The workshop will explore six of the sixty global cultures covered in GlobeSmart, an online reference tool provided by the Society for Human Resource Management. It provides quick access to extensive knowledge on how to conduct business effectively with people from other countries around the world.
