FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Profound Pioneers Entertainment Group will hold a screening of The LA *ish Documentary at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20th in the Arkansas Union Theater. The film, by Los Angeles director Saki Bomb (Sabbuur Ikhlas), examines the lives of 14 artists who move to Los Angeles to pursue their musical aspirations.

“I created this film because I love the come up stories that highlight our struggles and sacrifices and challenges,” said the director. “These stories show who we are and what we are made of at our very core. So many of us are living in the shadow of mediocrity. I felt compelled to shine light on those who aren’t.”

The film is about more than music or musicians, venturing into the private and artistic lives of people who choose to live their dreams with extraordinary passion, providing a look beyond the mainstream to explore new cultures and ideas.

Profound Pioneers Entertainment Group is an organization within the Center form Multicultural and Diversity Education that strives to provide an avenue for students to present their individual qualities to the campus community.
