International German Proficiency Exams Offered by U of A German Program in April

Each year, the German program at the U of A offers the internationally recognized proficiency exams of the Goethe-Institut. In 2013, 28 students achieved passing scores on Goethe Exams. The German program is pleased to offer the exams again this spring on Saturday, April 26.

The Goethe Exams are an important credential for our German majors and minors, and indeed for anyone interested in studying or working in a German-speaking country or simply demonstrating solid German skills. Employers and educational institutions worldwide accept Goethe Exams as rigorous assessment of German fluency.

The U of A is the only testing site in Arkansas, and one of the largest university testing centers in the country. Between 25 and 35 students take a Goethe Exam at the U of A each year. If you are interested in sitting for a Goethe Exam, contact Jennifer Hoyer, the testing chair (jhoyer@uark.edu). The U of A Goethe Testing Center offers B1, B2, and C1 level exams.
