Washington Professor to Give Lecture on Charter School Management

Robin Lake, director of the Center on Reinventing Public Education at the University of Washington, will give a lecture about managing charter schools at noon Friday, Feb. 21, on the University of Arkansas campus.

Lake’s lecture is titled “Understanding Replication, Scale, and Effectiveness in Charter Management Organizations.” She is internationally recognized for her research and analysis of U.S. public school system reforms, including charter schools and charter management organizations; innovation and scale; portfolio school districts; school turnaround efforts; and performance-based accountability systems.

The lecture is part of the series sponsored by the department of education reform and is free and open to the public. It starts at noon in Room 343 of the Graduate Education Building, and RSVP is requested for a light lunch. RSVP online by 1 p.m. Feb. 19.
