U of A Professor Honored for Work to Improve Communities

Merry Moiseichik

Merry Moiseichik was inducted last fall as a fellow of the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration. A profile of Moiseichik, a University of Arkansas professor of recreation and sport management in the College of Education and Health Professions, can be read on the Colleague news site.

Moiseichik initially began editing a management manual for her field with Betty van der Smissen, a pioneering researcher in law and recreation, and later became author of subsequent editions following van der Smissen’s death in 2008. The book is one of many accomplishments that helped earn Moiseichik the national honor.
