Patent Attorney to Lead Intellectual Property Seminar

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Shawn Dellegar, a registered patent attorney, will present a seminar on intellectual property at 2 p.m. Jan. 28 in Arkansas Union rooms 507-508. Dellegar, a member of the Tulsa law firm of Head, Johnson and Kachigian, will speak on how technology licensing offices can help university personnel. Topics will include patent law basics, public disclosures, licensing and commercialization.

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The seminar is sponsored by UA Technology Ventures and the UA System Division of Agriculture Technology Commercialization Office.

Dellegar, who holds a law degree and bachelor’s degrees in management information systems and chemistry from the University of Tulsa, practices all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent, trademark and copyright law, domain names, licensing and other areas dealing with technology.
