On Dec. 20, 2013, the Division of Student Affairs hosted the Fall Graduating Student Leaders Reception to recognize and honor graduating undergraduates for their leadership and service to its departments and programs.

Program advisers, mentors, and supervisors nominated students based upon their impact in their organizations. Past honorees include ASG officers, R.O.C.K. Camp Mentors, Greek Life leadership, Resident Assistants, and student organization officers. The honorees received a medallion featuring the Division of Student Affairs logo to demonstrate the commitment and service given, and the words “Graduating Student Leader” to remind them of their impact on the division and university as a whole. The Dean’s Council granted permission for these medallions to be worn over their robes during commencement in order to fully signify and recognize the honor that the student leaders received. A full list of the 10 Graduating Student Leaders appears below.

During the ceremony, the university also honored graduating student veterans in recognition of their service to our country and their vital role in the University of Arkansas community. The vice provost for student affairs, Danny Pugh, presented each student veteran with the Chancellor’s Challenge Coin displaying the University of Arkansas logo on the front of the coin with the words “Honor,” representing military service; “Courage,” representing the transition to college; and “Success,” representing graduation. The back of the coin reads “Chancellor Challenge Coin” and “Veteran” and features a Razorback with the American flag in the background. A full list of the 108 graduating student veterans appears below.
