Campus-wide Access to Diverse Issues in Higher Education now Available

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance at the University of Arkansas has acquired a campus-wide subscription to Diverse Issues in Higher Education, available on line at http://diversejobs.net.

Diverse is one of the best way there is to reach underrepresented groups in the academic world,” said Charles Robinson, vice chancellor for diversity and community. “We are serious at the University of Arkansas about recruiting faculty and staff from these groups, and this provides us with a very valuable tool for doing that.”

This resource will assist with the recruitment of underrepresented groups for faculty and staff positions. All university positions will be posted automatically when they are posted on the U of A Career Site.

“We still encourage departments to identify at least three additional sources that will assist with increasing the diversity of the applicant pools,” said Danielle Wood, director and Equal Employment Opportunity officer for the Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance. “Departments can refer to Diversity Sources on the OEOC website for additional information.”
