University Recreation's Club Sports program is hosting its third annual campuswide food drive, supporting the Full Circle Campus Food Pantry.

"We feel that the community supports us so much," said Shannon Dere, university recreation associate director of club sports. "The Club Sports Food Drive is a simple, but effective, way for us to give back."

Last year the Club Sports program was able to collect 1,526 pounds of non-perishable items to donate to the Full Circle Food Pantry. Dere said that they hope to increase that number this year.

Each individual Club Sport competes to donate the most food to earn Razorback points that equate to dollar amounts for future funding. Anyone who makes a food donation may do so on behalf of one of the 30 clubs to help them win the drive. Clubs will earn one point for every five pounds donated.

The Full Circle Campus Food Pantry serves the Arkansas campus community in need, and accepts all types of food as long as they have not expired and have not been pre-prepared.  Items in need are pasta, snacks, boxed meals, crackers, canned fruit, canned chicken, canned tuna, and granola bars.

Help Club Sports support the University of Arkansas community by donating non-perishable canned foods to the UREC main office, located in HPER 225.
