Secondary Education Master of Arts in Teaching Meeting Set for Nov. 20

A mandatory meeting for University of Arkansas students planning to enter the Secondary Education Master of Arts in Teaching program next summer is planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the Graduate Education Building auditorium, room 166. 

Attendance at the meeting is required of secondary education candidates who plan to enter the M.A.T. in the summer of 2014. This applies to students planning to teach in grades 7-12 in the following areas: drama/speech, English, foreign language, mathematics, social studies, and life or physical science.

Topics will include procedures for application to both the Graduate School and to the program based in the College of Education and Health Professions, reference letters, portfolio requirements, interview procedures, and Praxis II due dates. There will be time for questions.
