FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Students, faculty, staff and friends are encouraged to attend these on-campus and off-campus events in the visual and performing arts hosted by the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.

The Razorback Marching Band will honor University of Arkansas athletic director, Jeff Long, at the 18th annual Razorback Band Spectacular at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, in Barnhill Arena.

The Fayetteville Public Library will host a screening of After the Tsunami at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. The event will include a discussion with the filmmakers.

Also on Sunday, Brice Smith will give a flute recital at 3:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center's Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall.

The Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock will host a screening of After the Tsunami at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, followed by a discussion with individuals featured in the film.

Also on Wednesday, Nadi Cinema will host a screening of Zaman: The Man from the Reeds (dir. Amer Alwan, Iraq, 2003) at 7 p.m. in Mullins Library, room 104.

Eddie Jones, associate professor of music and coordinator of vocal studies, will give a studio recital at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall.

Also on Thursday, Tribes, the second show in University Theatre's Studio Series, will open in room 404 of Kimpel Hall. The play will run through Monday, Nov. 4. All performances are at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $4 for University of Arkansas faculty and staff and $3 for students.

Translations by Brian Friel continues in Walton Arts Center's Nadine Baum Studio until Sunday, Oct. 27. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $4 for University of Arkansas faculty and staff and $3 for students.

Paint, Pixels and Process, an invitational group exhibition showcasing work by adjunct and visiting faculty in the department of art, continues until Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the sUgAR Gallery. The gallery is open from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday on the basement level of One East Square Plaza.

An exhibit of student work from associate professor Angela LaPorte continues until Friday, Nov. 15, in the Fine Arts Center hallway exhibition cases.

Resonance: Audible Silence in Portraiture continues until Wednesday, Dec. 4, in the Fine Arts Center Gallery. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
