UASuccess Training for Faculty and Staff

This fall, the University of Arkansas released “UASuccess” a new online appointment scheduling and retention tool for faculty, staff and students.

To support students and increase retention and graduation rates, the university has contracted with Starfish Retention Solutions to adapt its Student Success and Retention Platform to the needs of this campus. Renamed “UASuccess” for our campus, the platform’s two main systems – Connect and Early Alert – will help the campus community participate in student success through automated student tracking, early alert, online appointment scheduling, and assessment.

UASuccess is accessible through Blackboard or by directly logging in to the system. Once logged in to Blackboard, there is a link for “UASuccess” in the upper right hand corner. Faculty and staff will find two resource guides within Blackboard to help them learn the system. The “UASuccess Getting Started for Instructors & Advisors” will give the quick tips to help start using the system. The “UASuccess In-Depth Advisor and Instructor User Guide” gives more detail instructions of the scheduling tool. Users can also log in directly at uasuccess.uark.edu with UARK username and password. Starfish also provides additional help within the system. Users will see a “help” link next to their name in the upper right hand corner that will provide instructions, tips, and tricks for different features.

Over the last five weeks, we have conducted training sessions for faculty and staff to help them understand the purpose for UASuccess and how they can utilize it in their roles as instructors, advisers, and support staff.

Two final training sessions will be offered for faculty and staff who missed the training for their specific college and those support offices interested in using UASuccess. Please note we have changed rooms to accommodate more people.
