Haupt Named as New Compliance Officer for U of A Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Shannon Haupt, an Oklahoma City attorney with 12 years of experience in human resources and employment law has been named as the new compliance officer with the University of Arkansas Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance.

“I feel that Shannon will be an asset to my office,” said Danielle Wood, director and EEO officer for the Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance

Haupt will be responsible for overseeing the complaint and grievance process for the campus community, as well as serving as the university’s Title IX, Title IX/NCAA and Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator. She will investigate all allegations of discrimination and provide training to students, faculty, and staff regarding discrimination and sexual harassment within the university community.

“I am very pleased we have been able to hire a person with Shannon Haupt’s credentials to fill this very important position,” said Charles Robinson, vice chancellor for diversity and community. “I look forward to her contributions as we work to bring a more diverse and welcoming environment to the University of Arkansas.”

Haupt has worked for several Oklahoma law firms, specializing in the federal and state cases involving employment law.  She has a bachelor of science degree in human relations and law enforcement from East Central University and a law degree from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.
