MATLAB Seminars Set for Sept. 18

IT Services and the Walton College of Business will host two MATLAB seminars by MathWorks engineers on Wednesday, Sept. 18, free to educators, academic researchers and students at the University of Arkansas. 

Session one, Data Analysis and Parallel Computing with MATLAB, will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Mullins Library, room 104. This session will discuss how to analyze visual data, edit and debug code, publish results, and parallelize MATLAB applications.

Session two, Introduction to MATLAB for Computational Finance, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Reynolds Center Distance Classroom, room 202. This session will discuss how to apply MATLAB to financial application development processes, including how to analyze data and create forecasts, measure risk, develop optimization strategies, calculate prices, and determine cash flow.
