Join the University Recreation staff for their annual UREC Bash. The event is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building.

UREC Bash is a free event and provides an opportunity for students and the university community to tour the HPER facility, learn about club and intramural sports, and take group fitness and small group training demos. You can even try your hand at crate stacking!  There will be food, games, and giveaways including the official UREC Bash T-shirt, donated by GNC, and a Nano iPod Touch, donated by the University of Arkansas Bookstore!

"Planning for this event builds up a lot of anticipation in our department and we are so excited to host this event," said Hannah Campbell, university recreation graduate assistant for marketing and public relations.

Group fitness demos will be held every 30 minutes during the event and will include the following classes: Ripped, Bosu Conditioning, PiYO, Zumba and Insanity! If you have been wondering what Small Group Training is all about, be sure to visit HPER 216. Classes will be held every 30 minutes beginning at 6 p.m.

"UREC Bash is a blast and is a great way to bring the university community together," said Amanda Barber, senior biology major.
