Non-Smokers Needed for Paid Research Study

Participants are wanted for a research study to evaluate the effects of heat on arterial health.

The study is seeking 30 males who should be 18 to 59 years old with no chronic illness or injury. Smokers and non-smokers needed.

Participants will receive $100.

This study will involve two visits to the Human Performance Laboratory (approximately 4 hours per visit); passive exposure to the heat for approximately one hour; measurements of heart rate, blood pressure, and arterial health will be taken. The second visit will include the same measurements taken but without exposure to heat.

The principal investigator is Matthew Ganio. This study has been approved by the University of Arkansas, Institutional Review Board for Human Studies, Fayetteville, Ark.
