Music Faculty, Students Participate in Saarburg International Music Festival in Germany

Two faculty members from the music department are performing and teaching at the Saarburg International Music Festival this summer. Theresa Delaplain, oboe, and Moon-Sook Park, voice, are among performers and guest artists from around the world in Saarburg, Germany.

U of A music students attending the festival are oboists Andrew Baker and Christopher Barnett, and vocalists Janelle Hollingsworth, Judd Burns and Charles Robinson.

The school component of the festival is an intensive two-week training program for young musicians, with focus on chamber music and solo performance. Students have private lessons, master classes, chamber music coaching, and performance throughout the region, while experiencing the culture of a historic German city.
