Goop Troupe is an artists' coalition formed in Fayetteville that focuses on bringing young artists, both novice and professional, together to share work and express their ideas for future artistic endeavors in the Northwest Arkansas area and beyond. Founded by Jon Peven in September 2012, the group is an all-inclusive community with interest in branching out to other artistic groups both locally and across the nation. The group's primary goal is to give local creative people a sense of belonging and community, as well as provide weekly brainstorming sessions on the subject of what artists would like to do with their own talents as well as activities for the group as a whole. Goop Troupe hosts its own large-scale shows throughout town on a seasonal basis, as well as hosting a monthly artists' showcasing at Nightbird Books for First Thursdays.

The Anne Kittrell Art Gallery will be the group's third large show to date, with their next show planned for Halloween of this year at Nightbird Books. Also during the month of August, Good Troupe will be hosting a spotlight of three artists not currently featured in the gallery show, which will be at Nightbird Books on First Thursday.

Goop Troupe meets every Tuesday at Nightbird Books on Dickson street around 7:30 p.m. to conduct planning and brainstorming for future group related activity. Currently, the number of artists that are involved and/or interested in the group sits at roughly 100 members and rising, with a casual core group of roughly 5-10 members that attend the meetings. If you are not a member and would like to join, you can find them on facebook.com.  For additional information about the group please email gooptroupe@gmail.com or jonpeven@gmail.com to express your interests.
