Finalist for Director of Research and Sponsored Programs to Hold Public Forum

A final candidate to become the next director of research and sponsored programs at the University of Arkansas will visit campus this week for interviews and a public forum.

Jean Cody directs the research service center in the office of sponsored project administration for the downtown campus of the University of Texas at San Antonio. She will make an open public forum presentation at 4 p.m. Friday, July 19, in Bell Engineering Center, Room 1108E.

Cody holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Since 2008, she has held several position at the University of Texas at San Antonio, including director of research administration and post award. She is a member of the National Council University Research Administrators.

The office of research and sponsored programs assists campus investigators with the process of finding funding sources, submitting proposals and managing awards. The office provides guidance to faculty and students in preparing proposals and expending awards in accordance with the regulations of federal and state governments and other funding agencies. It also provides general information regarding sponsored program activity at the university.
