The Bumpers College Honors Student Board helped launch the “Food for Thought” lecture series last spring, which featured U.S. Senator John Boozman as the inaugural speaker.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Five new members have been selected for the 2013-14 Honors Student Board in the Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas.

The Bumpers College Honors Student Board is a registered student organization providing a student voice to the honors program. The board supports the program and its director, Curt Rom. Members are also involved with the Food for Thought Lecture Series, the Outstanding Honors Project/Thesis competition, and assist in recruiting, professional and leadership development, and networking activities.

The newest members are:

  • Christina Crowder – food, human nutrition and hospitality, Kiefer, Okla.
  • Grace Heymsfield – food, human nutrition and hospitality, Elkins, Ark.
  • Christopher Sims – poultry science/agricultural business, Lincoln, Ark.
  • Kallie Sullivan – poultry science/pre-vet, Prairie Grove, Ark.
  • Amie Wilcox – animal science/agricultural education, communication and technology, Waldron, Ark.

Returning board members are:

  • Andrew Dugan – biological engineering, Dallas, Texas
  • Carly Hale – poultry science/agricultural education, communication and technology, Cabot, Ark.
  • Toryn Jones – environmental, soil and water science, Haskell, Okla.
  • Brianna Nyitrai – animal science, Jonesboro, Ark.
  • Maggie Jo Pruitt –agricultural education, communication and technology, Bergman, Ark.
