Razorback Transit Reaches Milestone: Two Million Riders for Fiscal Year

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Razorback Transit at the University of Arkansas set a new annual ridership record on Tuesday, May 21. The 513^th passenger to board a Razorback bus that day was also the 2 millionth rider served for fiscal year 2013 — July 1, 2012, to June 30, 2013.

This is the first time Razorback Transit has reached and passed the 2 million passenger mark in a single year. For fiscal year 2013 monthly ridership totals have averaged 5 percent higher than the previous year. Razorback Transit ridership topped at 1,989,087 passengers in fiscal year 2012. By the end of the current fiscal year, Razorback Transit will have served well over 31 million passengers since 1990.
