Research Office to Host NSF CAREER Award Writing Workshop

The office of vice provost for research and economic development is set to host a writing workshop for National Science Foundation Early Career Development Program awards.

The workshop is scheduled for 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, in room 144 of the J.B. Hunt J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. Center for Academic Excellence.

The CAREER program serves a critical role in NSF efforts to identify, foster and support the nation's most promising junior faculty in both research and education. The workshop is designed to enable the university's junior faculty to compete successfully for the awards.

The benefits of attending the workshop include:

  • Tips on proposal development
  • Insights into the NSF review environment
  • Networking with experienced researchers and reviewers
  • Submission tips from grant specialists

The NSF Career Award proposal submission deadline is July 23-24.
