Short Takes: How Study-Abroad Experiences Help Create Global Understanding

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Opportunities to study abroad help students gain an appreciation for different cultures, people and places around the world while also teaching them important things about themselves. The experiences are as varied as the world is diverse, from learning about the rich history of Rome to exploring the many unique regions of Africa. A record number of University of Arkansas students – around 700 – plan to travel to more than 40 different countries this year.
