The University of Arkansas Women’s Giving Circle is requesting proposals for programs and initiatives supporting our campus and our community. Projects may include work that focuses on or serves campus initiatives, community needs or statewide programs.

This year, in its 11th year of funding, Chancellor Gearhart announced another match of up to $50,000 to increase the impact of the circle. With the goal of 100 members, dollars will be matched up to that amount, and the impact on the University of Arkansas campus and the community will be well over $100,000 in grants.

Please visit the Women's Giving Circle website to learn about the proposal application process or to see a list of past funding recipients.  The deadline for proposal submission is Thursday, Aug. 1. Grants will be awarded in the fall.

If you have questions, please speak with your unit’s development officer for clarification or assistance in preparing your proposal. All proposals must be approved by the dean or vice chancellor of your unit before they will be accepted for submission. Development officers will include a special cover sheet with your proposal when it is submitted to the grants committee for review.

The Women’s Giving Circle was created in 2002 by the founding members of the Women and Philanthropy Committee of the Campaign for the Twenty-First Century. Since 2003, the circle has awarded more than $600,000 in grants to faculty and staff members from various departments and academic units at the university.
