University of Arkansas Named Top 25 American Marketing Association Collegiate Chapter

The University of Arkansas American Marketing Association chapter was recently recognized as an international Top 25 AMA Collegiate Chapter for the 2012-13 school year. The announcement was made during the national association’s conference March 21-23 in New Orleans.

Led by Walton College marketing instructors Nicole Cox and John Cole, the University of Arkansas is among more than 300 AMA collegiate chapters, including those in Bolivia, Canada and Puerto Rico. The university also received awards for Outstanding Community Service, Outstanding Fundraising and Outstanding Communications.

The university AMA chapter is working on various projects, including the Spectrum Brands product development competition, which the chapter will present to Spectrum executives at the end of April. The chapter will also host with the university a 5K Race for an Educated Kenya at 9 a.m. May 4 at Lake Fayetteville to raise money to provide high school education for underprivileged students in Kapsabet, Kenya.
