Nominate Someone Today for Employee of the 3rd Quarter

Faculty and staff are invited and encouraged to nominate staff employees in recognition of outstanding service to the University for the third quarter; January, February, and March. You can download a nomination form from http://staffsenate.uark.edu/EOQ_Nomination.pdf or request a nomination form by contacting Kelly Carter at eoq@uark.edu. The deadline for nomination submission for Employee of the 3rd Quarter is Monday, April 15.

Each quarter, five outstanding University of Arkansas employees (classified or non-classified) are selected as Employee of the Quarter representing one of each of the following five categories:

• Category I: Professional/Non-faculty – Administrative
  Recent qualifying titles include: Project/Program Specialist, Project/Program Director, Project/Program Manager, Computer Support Specialist, Fiscal Support Analyst, Administrative Analyst, Post Doctoral Associate, Research Associate*
• Category I:     Professional/Non-faculty – Academic
  Recent qualifying titles include:  Academic Counselor, Project/Program Specialist, Project/Program Director, Project/Program Manager, Director*
• Category II:    Secretarial/Clerical
  Recent qualifying titles include:  Administrative Support Supervisor, Administrative Specialist II, Administrative Specialist III*
• Category III:   Technical/Paraprofessional
  Recent qualifying titles include: Fiscal Support Specialist, Systems Analyst, Fiscal Support Specialist, Library Supervisor, Research Technologist*
• Category IV:   Skilled Crafts/Service/Maintenance
  Recent qualifying titles include: Skilled Tradesman, Institutional Service Assistant, Institutional Bus Driver*

*Only some titles included here. List is not comprehensive. Human Resources verifies categories after nominations are closed.

Eligibility for nomination:

• All regularly appointed staff are eligible for nomination.
• Nominees must have been employed by the U of A for at least one year.
• Employees must be nominated by a peer, co-worker, or supervisor.  Self-nominations are not accepted or recognized. 
• Any employee who has been selected as an Employee of the Quarter within the last three years is not eligible.

Employees of the Quarter receive $150 (minus taxes), a certificate of recognition, and the recognition of their peers, the Staff Senate, and the entire campus. 

Employees of the Year are selected from the candidates that have been chosen as Employees of the Quarter throughout the year.
