Department of Animal Science Block and Bridle Club Invites Students to Get Involved
Block and Bridle is a student club within the animal science department of the Dale Bumper’s College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences. According to the national Block and Bridle website, the organization strives to promote education about animal science, promote animal agriculture activities, enhance the professionalism of students who will one day be leaders in the animal agriculture industry, and allow students to network with people in the industry.

Monthly club meetings are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays: Feb. 12, March 12, and April 9 in B109 of the Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences Building.
Ag Olympics will be Feb. 15 with fun agriculture related events for teams of four. Sign up now to compete! Contact Mallory Hiss at mhiss@uark.edu.
Oaklawn will be Feb. 23. The club is going to Hot Springs for the horse races. Members will get a behind the scenes look at the barns and get to watch a race from the starting gate.

Meat On Mondays will be March 11. Hand out beef jerky by the Union Mall in the morning.
National Convention will be April 4-7.
Moms On The Farm will be April 13. Touring moms around the farm to get them acquainted with agricultural aspects.
Steak Feed will be May 2, the day before Dead Day. The club will cook and distribute steaks and sides for $5.
