Topology Professor to Give Math Lecture

The department of mathematical sciences presents Ken Baker of the University of Miami who will present “Non-unique knot surgery descriptions” at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in SCEN 408.

Baker will survey the history of constructions of manifolds with multiple knot surgery descriptions and reexamine its relevance in modern Low Dimensional Topology.

A reception will take place at 3:30 p.m. in SCEN 350. The event is open to the public.
