Harry Potter Parody Coming to Fayetteville
The play Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience, a Parody by Dan and Jeff will be performed Feb. 16 and 17 at the Walton Arts Center.
With a cast of only two, Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner take on the ultimate challenge of potting all seven Harry Potter books into 70 hilarious minutes. They are helped by endless costumes, brilliant songs, ridiculous props, a generous helping of Hogwarts magic and the audience, as everyone is invited to join in with a real life game of Quidditch!
The duo is coming to Northwest Arkansas on Feb. 16 and 17 at Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville, and tickets start at $19. Staff members from Walton Arts Center will be at Friday Night Live this Friday, Feb. 1 handing out Harry Potter glasses, Potted Potter show programs and flyers with ticket information.
This show is for those camped outside a bookstore for three days with a thermos and sleeping bag for release of “The Deathly Hallows” as well as those who don’t know the difference between a horcrux and a humbug, the slapstick, magic and mayhem of Potted Potter makes for an entertaining time. “The duo casts the perfect spell over the audience,” said The New York Times.
