January Issue of The Arkansas Catalyst Highlights Campus Research

The January 2013 issue of The Arkansas Catalyst, an online monthly newsletter from the University of Arkansas’ office of research and economic development, two University of Arkansas engineering professors who will be speaking at the SEC Symposium in Atlanta in February, highlights a new academic policy that will strengthen research centers at the university, and showcases research conducted by Joanna T. Campbell, an assistant professor in the Sam M. Walton College of Business, and Laura Walker, a doctoral student in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.

The newsletter is used to highlight exciting research and economic development activities on the University of Arkansas campus.

The office of research and economic development is working to enhance the university research enterprise, including multidisciplinary research. Future newsletters will also focus on six interdisciplinary research strengths at the U of A: health, energy and environment, nanoscience and engineering, supply chain logistics and transportation, food safety, and American art, architecture and the humanities.

See the newsletter online or subscribe by visiting The Arkansas Catalyst ListServ page. People who have questions about the newsletter or suggestions for topics should contact the vice provost for research and economic development at research@uark.edu or 479-575-2470.
