Nicholas Dintelmann, December Student Leader of the Month

Nicholas Dintelmann has been selected as the Student Leader of the Month for December. Originally from Belleville, Ill., Dintelmann came to the University of Arkansas to major in international business with a concentration in supply chain management. Dintelmann currently serves as the founder and president of the International Business Club and as vice president of the Transportation & Logistics Association.

Dintelmann identified his parents as his personal mentors, saying, “They have stood by me through everything life has thrown at me, and I would not be the man I am today without their love and support. They’ve given me everything, and I am working hard to one day return the favor.” Dintelmann advises other leaders to persevere and know that “if it doesn’t work out the first time, just do it again and make it better. Ask for help, if needed. There are so many leaders out there with you, that the resources you need could be right next to you.”

The Student Leader of the Month award, sponsored by New Student & Family Programs, recognizes University of Arkansas undergraduate students for their excellence in leadership through campus involvement, leadership activities, or through volunteer and community service. More information about the award can be found at http://nsfp.uark.edu/4483.php. All nomination forms should be submitted to Jordan Scribner, graduate assistant for New Student & Family Programs, via email at jascribn@uark.edu by the first Friday of each month.
