Blackboard Learn to Be Unavailable Dec. 18 to 21

Blackboard Learn will undergo a planned outage to transfer the system to off-campus Blackboard corporate hosting services. This move requires that Blackboard Learn be unavailable beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, and concluding on or before 11:55 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21.

Hosting the university learning management system on Blackboard corporate servers will provide faster response time for Blackboard users. Hosting off campus will also better accommodate the ever-increasing number of students enrolled in online and face-to-face courses using Blackboard Learn.

Following the move, there will be no change in the way students and faculty access Blackboard Learn courses.

Up-to-date information will be posted at learn.uark.edu. During the outage, go to techarticles.uark.edu/blackboard/news for information on the status of the transition.

Technical support is available to students and faculty at the Blackboard Learn Help Desk in the Faculty Technology Center by calling 479-575-6804, Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 6 to 11 p.m.
