ERIC ED Documents Unavailable Online

The Interlibrary Loan Department of the University Libraries alerts the users of ERIC, the Education Resources Information Center, that many full text documents in the ERIC database have been disabled due to privacy issues. ERIC plans to repost documents on a rolling basis as they are able to review them and remove any sensitive information. ERIC will release documents on a request-by-request basis, but currently have an eight-week backlog on requests.  The ERIC team states in an email to users, “Our  number one concern is to ensure that any full-text documents we provide do not violate any individual’s privacy.”

The University Libraries reminds users that ERIC journals are not affected, and that users can request ERIC ED documents on microfiche from 1966 to 2004 (Numbers 000-001 through 483-046) through interlibrary loan. We will locate, scan, and deliver the documents to you via your ILLiad account.
