Internet Explorer 8 Not Supported for UARK Gmail

The Google Apps team recently announced that Internet Explorer 8 will no longer be supported for accessing email, calendar, documents, or other Google Apps features. IT Services recommends that students accessing email.uark.edu for university email use a modern browser such as Internet Explorer 9, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.

Google Apps will discontinue support for Internet Explorer 8 when Internet Explorer 10 is released in late October. Google Apps supports the latest and prior versions of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari. When one of these browsers releases an update, however, the third-oldest versions will no longer be supported.

It is important to update web browsers on a timely basis to reduce security risks and ensure compatibility when accessing university systems.
