Pictures taken of campus by students in their first year at the U of A are currently on display in the Anne Kittrell Gallery of the Arkansas Union, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., until Aug. 13.

This is the third annual exhibit of the First Year Photo Project, an initiative organized by New Student and Family Programs. Any student new to the university — freshman, transfer student, international student, or graduate student — is welcome to pick up a camera and take part in the project.

Besides taking pictures, students in the program meet a couple of times each month to get to know each other, talk through various topics related to the transition to the university, and engage in a variety of character-building activities. No previous photography skills are required and participants are not required to have their own camera.

To find out how to be part of the First Year Photo Project this year go to the New Student and Family Programs website.
