Deadline Approaching: Women’s Giving Circle Proposals Due Aug. 1

The deadline for submitting University of Arkansas Women’s Giving Circle proposals is Aug 1. Projects may include work that focuses on or serves campus initiatives, community needs or statewide programs.

This year, in its 10th year of funding, Chancellor G. David Gearhart announced  a matching pledge of up to $50,000, essentially doubling the circle's impact  on the University of Arkansas campus and the community.

Please visit the Women's Giving Circle website to learn more about the proposal application process or to see a list of past funding recipients. Grants will be awarded in October.

If you have questions, please speak with your unit’s development officer for clarification or assistance in preparing your proposal. All proposals must be approved by the dean or vice chancellor of your unit before they will be accepted for submission. Development officers will include a special cover sheet with your proposal when it is submitted to the grants committee for review.

The Women’s Giving Circle was created in 2002 by the founding members of the Women and Philanthropy Committee of the Campaign for the Twenty-First Century. Since 2003, the circle has awarded more than $500,000 in grants to faculty and staff members from various departments and academic units at the university.
