Annual Literacy Symposium Begins Friday, June 22
The seventh annual University of Arkansas Literacy Symposium presented by the curriculum and instruction department will focus on the Common Core standards adopted by the state of Arkansas. Educators can receive professional development credit for attending.
Speakers at the symposium June 22-23 in Fayetteville will be Jeffrey Wilhelm of Boise State University; Brenda Overturf, a member of the International Reading Association Board of Directors; and Cindy Lovell, executive director of the Twain Museum in Hannibal, Mo.
