Pay Your Parking Meter with Your Cellphone

Transit and Parking has expanded the Parkmobile program to the single space meters on campus. These meters are located on Arkansas Avenue, Maple Street, Lot 71 across from Engineering Hall, at the Administrative Services Building, Bud Walton Arena, and the Administration Building. Parkmobile is not available for the gold short-term meters.

Now you can pay your parking meter from your smart phone and avoid a parking citation. It’s easy and works from the comfort of your car or while walking to class. No more standing in line, in the cold or rain, feeding money into the meter. Parkmobile makes it easier and more convenient to pay for parking.

Here’s how it works: download the Parkmobile app – It’s available for all major types of smartphones – and create an account. After parking, enter the zone number (found on the green sticker on the meter) on your smartphone, select the amount of time you plan to park, confirm the information and select “start parking.” Parkmobile will bill your credit card for the time you plan to park plus a 35 cent transaction fee.

Fifteen minutes before your meter time is to expire, Parkmobile will send a text message to remind you your time is about to expire. This gives you time to either move your vehicle or purchase more time.  If you plan to be a frequent user of Parkmobile, you can pay a monthly fee for a reduced transaction fee.
