Walmart on Campus Now Offers Free On-Campus Prescription Delivery

Walmart on Campus has a new service to offer the University of Arkansas campus: free prescription delivery. Any U of A student, faculty or staff member who is physically on the campus during the hours of delivery is eligible to have prescriptions delivered. The hours of delivery are 10-11 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Prescriptions must be received by the pharmacy two hours prior to delivery time.

Here is how to participate. If you are new to the Walmart on Campus Pharmacy, visit the delivering pharmacy in the Garland Center at 616 N. Garland Ave., or phone 479-443-1658 to set up a profile for you or your family members. To complete the profile, have your health insurance card and a credit card with you. Credit card information is required to sign up for Rx Express Pay, and this form of payment for prescriptions is needed for delivery. Provide a phone number to sign up for the Rx Ready Alert program to receive a call or text when the prescription is ready. Alert the pharmacy that you are a student, faculty or staff member at the U of A and would like free prescription delivery.

If you currently use the Walmart on Campus Pharmacy, here is how to get signed up for delivery. Locate the prescription number from one of your Walmart prescriptions and go online to www.walmart.com and click on the pharmacy page. Enter your prescription number to access your record. This is where you can set up your pharmacy account for each family member. Sign up for Rx Express Pay by providing a credit card number to use for all of your prescription needs—this will be required for delivery. Select the appropriate store for delivery—the Walmart on Campus store No. 2997 located at 616 N. Garland Ave. Provide a phone number to sign up for the Rx Ready Alert program to receive a call or text when the prescription is ready. Contact the pharmacy and alert them that you have set your up your profile online and would like the free delivery service provided to the U of A campus.

Prescriptions from any physician can be filled and delivered. Prescriptions from other pharmacies can be transferred and then delivered.  If you are expecting a delivery and haven’t gotten a text or call one hour prior to your scheduled delivery, please contact the pharmacy.

For more information, questions, and rules and limitations, please visit Walmart on Campus at 616 N. Garland Ave. or call 479-443-1658.
