Students Can Now Opt In to UARK Gmail
IT Services announces phase I of the Google email rollout and encourages students to move to UARK Gmail, the new official student email, by opting in at http://email.uark.edu/optin. More information about the opt-in process and UARK Gmail is available at http://its.uark.edu/student_email.html.
By opting in, students gain access to a 25 GB email quota, Google Calendar, Docs, Chat, and Talk. Although Google continues to refine its products to ensure full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, students cannot be required to use these features. Students with accessibility concerns should continue to use UA Mail at this time.
Students who are employed by the university are not eligible to opt in at this time, but will be migrated to UARK Gmail in the second phase of the rollout. Students working with export-controlled data are also not eligible to opt in at this time. Graduate and undergraduate students involved in research should contact their professor or primary investigator to verify their research status.
