Sign Up for Microsoft Outlook Training

Do you use Microsoft Outlook every day? Perhaps, since you’ve used it so much in your everyday work, you may think you’re utilizing it as much as you can. Well, think again! You’ll be amazed at how much you don’t know about Outlook and how much it can help you keep your calendars, emails, projects and schedules organized when you sign up to take the courses listed below.

Microsoft Outlook Basic: This course covers the basic functions and features of Outlook 2010. Students will learn how to read, create, send, and forward e-mail messages. Students will then learn how to manage messages and attachments, configure message options, and use search folders. Students will also learn how to manage contacts, use the People Pane, work with tasks, create appointments, and schedule meetings. Offered on Friday, April 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Microsoft Outlook Intermediate: Building on the skills and concepts taught in the Outlook 2010 Basics course, this course teaches students how to work more efficiently in Outlook. Students will learn how to customize Outlook, use Quick Steps, create Navigation-pane shortcuts, work with contacts and contact groups, manage address books, customize their messages and signatures, and set up automatic replies. In addition, students will learn how to search various folders, use filters, apply categories, create custom views, and set rules for organizing messages. Offered on Friday, April 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Microsoft Outlook Advanced: In this course students will learn how to subscribe to RSS news feeds and use the Outlook Social Connector to stay current with colleagues. Students will also learn how to manage their mailboxes and archive their mail, create and work with notes and Journal entries, share Outlook calendars and contacts, create e-mail templates, and use mail merge to send personalized messages to groups of contacts. Offered on Friday, May 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

All of these courses will help students prepare for the Microsoft Office Specialist exam for Outlook 2010. For comprehensive certification training, students should complete the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced courses for Outlook 2010.

Hands-on instruction led by Microsoft Certified instructors using Microsoft Office Specialist courseware (textbook included). Course includes a certificate of completion from the University of Arkansas.
