Celebrate Holi, the Festival of Colors, on April 14
The Friends of India invites all of you to celebrate Holi, the festival of colors. The celebration will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Wilson Park in Fayetteville.
Holi is the Hindu festival that welcomes the spring and celebrates the new life and energy of the season. It is the most energetic Indian festival, filled with fun and good humour.
Holi is also called "The Festival of Colors," and people celebrate the festival by smearing each other with paint, and throwing colored powder and dye around in an atmosphere of great good humor.
Lots of yummy, spicy authentic Indian food will be served.
