Professionals to Learn How to Investigate and Prevent Sexual Harassment in the Workplace
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Registration is open for a Feb. 13 professional development class offered by the Global Campus at the University of Arkansas to help employers and human resource professionals learn how to deal with sexual harassment in the workplace.
The Global Campus and the law firm of Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon and Galchus, P.C., of Springdale, will partner to present “How to Investigate and Prevent Workplace Sexual Harassment” from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Global Campus facility at 3300 Market St. in Rogers.
The class cost is $39, and online registration is available at http://globalcampus.uark.edu/register. Participants who complete the class can earn 2 general hours of continuing education credit from the Human Resource Certification Institute.
J. Bruce Cross, instructor and a director in the law firm, will explain how addressing complaints and establishing policy regarding harassment can minimize legal liability. Course material will cover tips for conducting successful investigations and creating a workplace environment that helps prevent harassment from occurring.
