For Whom the Bell Tolls: Bill Toller

The Toller Celebration Bell at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House will peal for 10 minutes at 11 a.m. Dec. 22 in memoriam of the bell’s namesake, Bill Toller BSBA’56, who passed away on Dec. 19 in Houston, Texas.

The bell was installed in 1999 as a gift from Bill and his wife of 52 years, JoElla, long-time supporters of the University of Arkansas and the Arkansas Alumni Association. As the Tollers recommended, the bell rings to mark both academic and athletic victories.
