Law School Drainage Project Aims to Solve Flooding Problem

Construction crews from contractor CDI are in the process of installing new and larger drainage pipes in front of the Leflar Law Center. The unusually heavy rains in Northwest Arkansas this past year have caused flooding in the basement of the building several times. The new drainage system will direct water away from the building and into the existing storm water line near the Garland Ave and Maple St. intersection.

The project was designed and is being coordinated by the university Facilities Management department.

The construction will cost about  $111,500 and is expected to be finished by Jan. 15, weather permitting.
