Michigan Professor to Discuss How Employment Protection Affects Teacher Effort
Brian Jacob, the Walter H. Annenberg Professor of Education Policy at the University of Michigan, will give a lecture Friday, Oct. 21, on the University of Arkansas campus called "The Effects of Employment Protection on Teacher Effort: Evidence from the Chicago Public Schools."
Jacob will speak at noon in room 343 of the Graduate Education Building. His lecture is sponsored by the department of education reform. For lunch, RSVP online.
The lecture is based on a National Bureau of Economic Research working paper Jacob wrote last year. The paper can be read on Jacob's website.
