Limited Edition Artists' Books by Professor of Art, Michael Peven, Chosen for Exhibit
Several limited edition artists' books by Michael Peven, professor of art, were chosen for an exhibit titled, “The Silent Scream, political and social comment in books by artists” at the Rare Books Library, in the Sir Louis Matheson Library at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
Peven's books, Prophesy Panorama and Global Family are on display from Sept. 26 until Nov. 25. The exhibit and accompanying catalog feature historical and contemporary artists' books including works by William Blake, El Lissitzky, George Grosz, Max Beckmann, John Heartfield and Oscar Kokoschka, Peter Lyssiotis, Francois Deschamps, and Telfer Stokes among others.
