First in Series of Roundtable Discussions Today at Noon

The first in a series of roundtable discussions will be on biofuels research at the university. Chuck West, professor of crop, soil and environmental sciences, and Jamie Hestekin, associate professor of chemical engineering, will give a brief overview on current University of Arkansas research related to feedstock production and fuel production.

The discussion will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, in the Arkansas Union, Room 308SW. Following the overview, there will be a discussion with audience members on the future research opportunities.

Interested faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend and discuss their interests in biofuels research as well as identify collaboration opportunities.

The University of Arkansas Chapter of Sigma Xi, in concert with the office of the vice provost for research and economic development, is hosting the series of monthly discussions on topics of interest to the university community. The goals of the roundtable meetings are to highlight current university research and provide opportunities for presenters and attendees to discuss future directions and collaboration opportunities. Interested faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend.
