Bookstore Contest to Celebrate National Student Day

The first annual National Student Day is Thursday, Oct. 6, and the University of Arkansas Bookstore is joining the celebration.

National Student Day is dedicated to recognizing students for their involvement in their campus and local community.

On Thursday the Bookstore is inviting students to submit a short description of what they do to help their campus and local community. A five member team from the ASG will select the winning essay. All entries can be dropped off at the Bookstore or with the ASG team before 5p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, and the winner will be announced on Thursday, Oct. 13.

The contest winner will receive free textbooks for the spring semester and will be featured in the Traveler.
