Undergraduate Social Work Student and Veteran Recognized

Ashleigh Wall, an undergraduate student in the School of Social Work, is the first recipient in the nation to receive the new Student Veterans of America Internship Support Program Stipend Award.

According to the Student Veteran of America, the Internship Support Program received, “dozens of applications coming from all regions of America, from student veterans in undergrad, masters and doctoral programs, and in a variety of internship fields.” Wall, the first of the 10 recipients selected, enlisted in the U.S. Army in March 2006 and served 14 months in Iraq.
